3cupunbleached white wheat flour (I use King Arthur)
1cup oats
2tbspunsalted butter
1 1/2tspsalt
3tbspbrown sugar
2tspinstant yeast
1 1/4cupwarm (not hot) milk
Ingredients | Filling:
1/4cup brown sugar
1tbspground cinnamon
Instructions
Directions:
Place flour, oats, butter, salt, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, yeast, and milk in the breadmaker according to directions for your machine. (The breadmaker I use suggests this order: water/milk, butter, dry ingredients.)
Set breadmaker to "Dough" setting. Start breadmaker.
When done, remove dough and place on floured surface. Roll out into a rectangle approximately 6x20-inches.
In a medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over dough rectangle.
Starting with the shorter end, roll dough into a log. Place dough seam-side down in a loaf pan.
Let rise covered for 1 hour.
Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
Cool 15 minutes in the pan before turning bread out onto cooling rack.
