Mini Oreo Cookie Dough Truffles

Oreo Truffles

 ½ cup unsalted butter, room temp
 ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
 2 ¼ cups unbleached all-purpose flour
 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
 1 tsp vanilla extract
 ½ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
 1 tub mini Oreos
 1 ½ lbs semisweet chocolate chips

Cream the butter and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in the flour, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until well combined. Stir in mini chocolate chips. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the mixture is firm enough to form balls.


Wrap the chilled cookie dough mixture around each mini Oreo and shape into balls. Place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour.


Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power, stirring frequently, until melted and smooth. Dip each truffle in chocolate and place on wax-paper lined baking sheet. Chill 30 minutes before serving to ensure chocolate has set. Store in the refrigerator.
