How to Freeze Fresh Strawberries

how to freeze strawberries

Strawberries are easy to freeze with just a few simple steps.

  1. Wash strawberries under cool running water. Place them in a colander and drain.
  2. Remove the stems.
  3. Place strawberries in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and place in freezer for 4-6 hours or until frozen solid.
  4. Remove strawberries from the freezer and place them in vacuum seal plastic bags. Vacuum seal your strawberries. (If you don’t have a vacuum sealer, plastic freezer bags will also work, but make sure to remove as much air as possible before sealing.)
  5. Label with the contents and date. Place back in the freezer until you are ready to thaw and use.
